Biography
Mrs. Leonard began her career in criminal law more than two decades ago as an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorneys Office.Mrs. Leonard was assigned to the Special Narcotics Prosecution Unit, where she prosecuted thousands of Philadelphia’s most serious and violent drug offenders. Mrs. Leonard was then assigned to the Juvenile Unit where she prosecuted cases against juvenile offenders as well as adult offenders charged with crimes against juvenile victims. Mrs. Leonard was then assigned as a trial lawyer in the Major Crimes Unit.
While there, Mrs. Leonard successfully prosecuted the most serious crimes and offenders in the City of Philadelphia. These cases would include armed robbery, aggravated assault, carjacking, and attempted murder. While in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Mrs. Leonard successfully tried close to 30 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials.
Upon leaving the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Mrs. Leonard continued her work in the criminal justice system as a criminal defense attorney representing individuals in Superior Court in the State of New Jersey charged with serious crimes including murder, aggravated assault, as well as drug and weapon offenses.
Mrs. Leonard has also successfully represented hundreds of individuals in Municipal Court in the State of New Jersey charged with everything from simple assault to driving while intoxicated.
Mrs. Leonard also represents individuals in Restraining Order / Domestic Violence matters.
